primavera in Valencia. it isn't nearly as refreshing as in Estonia and i don't feel like kissing every single little green reminder of life that sticks its head out of the black snow-water drenched soil after five months of frozen darkness, but it's ok.

summer in Tallinn or more so, an angle on it. i actually like our capital city in many ways - in at least as many as i dislike it. for one - there's variety and choice when it comes to making decisions about pastimes. several different beaches, an abundance of parks, varied urban landscapes... in other words there exists the possibility for new discoveries and being an adventurous being, i like it. for me an adventure can be anything starting from a new vista or a new taste and going all the way to hitchhiking thousands of kilometers to get to a party.

you know how sometimes, after visiting a pompous castle on the hilltop and after being amazed by the most gorgeous views from the top of the mountain, you climb down and find a place that is even more captivating. this small giftshop was full of artisan pottery and wind chimes made music in there and the owner was a wise old caballero who changed his tune towards us once he found out we were not mere sunbathing tourists but had come to spain to actually learn. plus i speak spanish. so he allowed us to take photos of the place which i did with my old zenit camera. and it was only until later that i noticed the humorous aspect of the shop's name.
